Audition for The Boston Cecilia!
The Boston Cecilia is Boston’s longest-existing amateur chorus, with repertoire ranging from period instrument performances of Handel and Bach to fresh works from contemporary composers. The chorus is comprised of about 50 singers.
We are happy to report that we are back to holding in-person auditions. Please fill out the form below with your information to schedule an audition.
Audition Information
In-person auditions are about 15 minutes in length and include vocalizing, sight-reading on one’s own voice part and singing a solo piece of the candidate’s choosing (art song, aria, hymn, or something in the classical style).
Audition dates
Our next round of auditions will be held in late May/early June.
Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page and we will notify you of the exact date(s) and time(s) at least two weeks in advance to schedule your audition.
Rehearsal times and venue
Monday evenings, 7:30 to 10:00 at All Saints Parish, 1773 Beacon Street, Brookline.
(Rehearsals begin in early September.)
Occasional Saturday morning rehearsals (10:00am to 1:00pm) - three or four times a year.
